French Oak Wood Floor Fitting

The tiled hall in our clients recently purchased house was not to their liking, they felt that the ceramic tiles looked cold and gave the hall a hollow feel.

We were asked to lift the tiles and lay a solid French oak wood floor.

Upon commencement of work we were met with the further challenge of removing even thicker concrete patio slabs that had been laid under the ceramic tiles.

Task completed we laid down wood battens with 300mm centres and fitted the random length solid French oak planks. These were then lightly sanded, knots filled and finished with two coats of Bona Traffic HD satin/matt. A much warmer feel and look to the hall.
